Die zypriotische Tänzerin Anna Maria Papaiakovou erlangte ihre Ausbildung am Limassol Municipal Dance Center von Zypern sowie an der Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm. Von 2016 – 2017 war sie Mitglied des Semperoper Ballett Dresden und tanzte dort u. a. in Kenneth MacMillans „Manon“ oder Balanchines „Thema und Variationen“. 2017 wechselte Anna Maria Papaiakovou zum Aalto Ballett Essen. Hier tanzte sie u. a. in Ben Van Cauwenberghs „Don Quichotte“ die Freundin von Kitri, den Blauen Vogel in „Dornröschen“, wirkte in „Schwanensee“, „Giselle“, „Der Nussknacker“, „Rock around Barock“ oder „Tanzhommage an Queen“ mit und verkörperte die Bianca in John Crankos „Der Widerspenstigen Zähmung“. In der Opernneuproduktion „Macbeth“ ist sie als Tänzerin zu erleben.


The Cypriot dancer Anna Maria Papaiakovou received her training at the Limassol Municipal Dance Center of Cyprus and at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm. From 2016 – 2017 she was a member of the Semperoper Ballett Dresden where she danced in Kenneth MacMillan’s "Manon" or Balanchine's "Theme and Variations" among others. In 2017 Anna Maria Papaiakovou became part of the Aalto Ballet Essen. Here she danced Kitri's girlfriend in Ben Van Cauwenbergh's "Don Quixote", the Blue Bird in "Sleeping Beauty", took part in "Swan Lake", "Giselle", "The Nutcracker", "Rock around Baroque" or "Hommage to Queen" and embodied Bianca in John Cranko's "Taming of the Shrew". In the new opera production "Macbeth" she can be experienced as a dancer.
